Why Jal Mahal is Closed? Know The Story

Jal Mahal is closed as the Rajasthan government 2003, during congress party tenure invited bids for improving the condition of the Mansagar Lake and Jal Mahal.

The project was very vital as it included cleaning and restoring the Jal Mahal. In addition to that, building two hotels with the local market was also included.

When the government announced the bid, the opposition BJP party opposed and challenged the decision to award the contract to the bidder. It was stated that the government helped the bidder with tax evasion.
